Registry Backup

Normally, whenever you use Registry Easy to repair the detected registry items, a backup file will be automatically created and can be managed within the Repair Backup tab where you can use the specific backups to restore those items that have been cleaned and removed from the registry. You can restore one or more backup files at a time. In case that you run Registry Easy for the first time, a full backup on your registry would be automatically created and could be managed within the Full Backup tab where you can manually restore, remove or create full registry backup.

 

Important: You must be careful when restoring or removing the registry backups as it might create troubles for your system or applications. Use this feature only when you need to restore to a previous working state.

To restore one or more backup files:
  1. Click the Backups button at the main window, and then click the Registry Backup button.
  2. Click the Repair Backup or Full Backup tab.
  3. Select one or more backup registry files.
  4. Click the Restore button.
To remove one or more backup files:
  1. Click the Backups button at the main window, and then click the Registry Backup  button.
  2. Click the Repair Backup or Full Backup tab.
  3. Select one or more backup files.
  4. Click the Remove Backup button.

To fully create one registry backup :

  1. Click the Backups button at the main window, and then click the Full Backup button.
  2. Click the Full Backup  tab.
  3. Click the Backup button.

Note:the backup files are physically stored and located at the folder RepairBackup under the directory where the Registry Easy is installed.
